Resting, I dangle a damaged toe into the deep <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I\u2019m tired of blowing at sails<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Nothing happens anyway<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Huffing and puffing with all my might is not going to move this boat<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She\u2019s grounded<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So for now, mend <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Check the rigging<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Take stock<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Cleanse everything<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Get this little coracle ship shape and seaworthy<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When the wind comes, what will it be?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A summery breeze, a bracing westerly, a gale?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
How can I know, it\u2019s not up to me<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I am not the wind…<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So I listen for first whispers<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And wafts of scents that ride on early gusts<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Enjoying quiet solitude in the place I am beached<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The wind will come again<\/p>\n\n\n\n
One day it will be here, inviting me to pull up anchor, untie the ropes and let go again to harness the powerful energy of its fearsome billowing magic <\/p>\n\n\n\n
